Your Decision Readiness Record and Care Team Brief

Your Decision Readiness Record + Care Team Brief

In three steps

Step 1

Bring what you already have

Reports, pathology, test results, notes, and other information from your care.

Step 2

Tell Beacon what matters to you

Share your questions, concerns, priorities, and anything you do not want to forget.

Step 3

Walk in prepared

Beacon turns it into two appointment-ready documents:

  • One for you, with your priorities and what to ask.
  • One for your care team, with the context and open issues to discuss.

See it in action

See, in 90 seconds, how Beacon turns information into an appointment-ready conversation.

No sign-up. No records needed.

Educational only. Not medical advice or a substitute for your care team.

I built Beacon because I know what it feels like to wonder, What are we missing?

I’m Shruti Agarwal, PhD.

I’m a pharmacist by training, and I’ve spent more than 24 years across research, oncology medical affairs, and advanced therapies.

Then my husband was diagnosed with cancer.

We heard different treatment recommendations, and the decisions were moving quickly. Even with my background, I found myself asking:

What do we need to understand before we decide?

We took time to ask more questions, have the pathology reviewed again, and look closely at the current guidelines.
It changed the conversation for our family.

I built Together4Cancer® Beacon because patients and caregivers should not have to know every question before they walk into the room.

Beacon helps bring the information, the questions, and what matters to you together, so you can participate more fully in decisions with your care team.

Because fewer families should have to say:
“I wish I’d known that sooner.”

Beacon is grounded in published oncology literature. Your conversations are private and encrypted.

Some of the most important conversations happen before treatment starts.

  • Tests get ordered, or they don’t.
  • Second opinions get sought, or they don’t.
  • Trials get explored, or they don’t.
  • Questions get raised, or they don’t.

Cancer care can involve more decisions and more moving pieces than one appointment can hold.

  • A biomarker test may be worth discussing.
  • A clinical trial may have timing requirements.
  • Fertility or practical planning may matter before treatment begins.

And once treatment starts, the decisions keep coming.
New scans. New results. New side effects. New conversations.

Nobody handed you a map.

Yet you are still expected to participate in decisions about your care, often without knowing what matters now, what remains open, or what to bring up next.

That is what Beacon is built for.

How it works

Meet Together4Cancer® Beacon

Bring your reports, results, questions, and concerns. Beacon helps organize them around what has already been answered, what remains open, and what may be worth discussing next.

  • Not a symptom checker.
  • Not a generic cancer checklist.
  • Not a tool that expects you to know what to ask first.
01
Bring it in

Start with what you already have

Upload a pathology report. Add lab results. Paste notes from your phone. Type a question or explain what has been worrying you.

Use your own words, in any language.
You do not need to organize it first.

02
Make sense of it

See what matters in your situation

Beacon works from the information you provide and oncology evidence to help organize what is already known, what remains unclear, and what may be worth raising next.

Your diagnosis. Your tumor details. Your stage. What has already been proposed.
Not just general information about your cancer type.

03
Know what to raise

Turn uncertainty into a conversation

When something may be worth discussing, Beacon helps you put it into clear language.

What to ask.
Why it may matter.
Who on the care team may be able to help.
What you might say in an appointment or portal message.

You do not have to become the expert to have a voice in the conversation.

04
Walk in prepared

Take two clear documents into your appointment

For you: your priorities, important questions, and what you may want to confirm.

For your care team: your clinical context, what has changed, and what you came to discuss.

Less time trying to remember everything.
More room for the conversation you came to have.

From people who’ve used Beacon

They walked in with more clarity and a stronger voice in the conversation.

Different diagnoses. Different decisions. Different stages of care.
But a similar need: to understand what mattered and bring it into the room.

I was in pathology for 20 years and I just couldn’t figure out how to talk about it.

It was awesome!

It was awesome! I was specifically looking for how to word my discussion with my oncologist on the need for better surveillance imaging (pleomorphic lobular, onco score 34, Pr neg) and also repeating the FISH (group 2 from biopsy) on the excision of the tumor (lumpectomy). I found it very validating and it gave me the tools and confidence to bring these issues up with him. And I was successful after pushing a little!

The questions don’t stop, even when treatment is working.

My wife was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in December 2022. Three years in, she’s doing well, and at every monthly visit, you still wonder what you might be missing.

My wife was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer in December 2022. Three years in, she’s doing well, and at every monthly visit, you still wonder what you might be missing. Your care team is eager to help, but they have hundreds of patients. You have to know what to ask.

This showed me exactly what to bring up, about side effects, about monitoring. A clear map for what comes next.

It provided me with much-needed clarity, guidance, and the right questions to ask my medical team.

I was recently diagnosed with a very rare cancer called PEComa. The information on treating this cancer is extremely limited, I found this app to be an invaluable resource that provided comfort during a very difficult time.

If you are considering using this tool, I highly recommend it. I truly believe it is one of the best tools available for anyone trying to advocate for themselves and navigate the complexity of cancer treatments.

I received frequent comments from my doctors about how prepared and well informed I was.

This tool helped me prepare for doctor visits and made me aware of questions to ask, the language to ask them in, and options for diagnosis and treatment that were never presented by my first oncologist.

This tool helped me prepare for doctor visits and made me aware of questions to ask, the language to ask them in, and options for diagnosis and treatment that were never presented by my first oncologist. Thanks to its suggestion I got a second telehealth opinion through MSK on very short notice, ultimately changing oncologists and going into a clinical trial testing a better-tolerated chemotherapy.

It provided focus for doing further research on my own and empowered my self-advocacy. I found it very comforting and helpful when trying to get up to speed during a whole new set of unfamiliar experiences.

What this can look like in real life

Your appointment is tomorrow morning. It is 10pm.

You have a pathology report, recent labs, a proposed treatment plan, and several things you do not want to forget.

You bring them to Beacon.

Beacon helps organize:

  • what may still need clarification
  • what may be worth raising now
  • what can wait
  • what your care team may need to know

Then it creates two appointment-ready documents.

  • For you: your priorities and questions.
  • For your care team: the clinical context and what you came to discuss.

No digging through your phone at the end of the appointment.
No trying to remember the question that felt important the night before.

More of the appointment can go toward the conversation you actually came to have.

That is what prepared can look like.

Two phases · One Beacon

Cancer care is not one decision.
It is a series of them.

Phase 1 · Before treatment begins

Some conversations can be time-sensitive:

  • Biomarker testing
  • Clinical trials
  • Treatment options
  • Fertility
  • Work, money, family, and logistics
Phase 2 · Through treatment

Then the situation changes:

  • New symptoms
  • Scans and results
  • Changes in daily life
  • How treatment is going
  • What needs attention now
  • What your care team needs to know next
One Beacon
As your care changes, Beacon changes with you.

Your reports, priorities, questions, and unresolved issues carry forward, so you do not have to rebuild the story every time something new happens.

Your voice comes into the room.
Your care team gets the context.
You make the decisions together.

  • You have an appointment coming up and want to arrive with a plan.
  • You are caring for someone with cancer and want to know where you can help.
  • You want to participate more fully in decisions with your care team.

Why 90 days

Because cancer care rarely happens in one appointment.

A diagnosis or major change in care can bring weeks of results, consultations, treatment decisions, and practical changes.

Beacon is designed to stay with you through that stretch, carrying forward what has already been discussed and what still needs attention.

One pass. 90 days. No automatic renewal.

After 90 days

Want Beacon with you longer?

After your first 90 days, you can choose Beacon Continuity for $20/month.

Completely optional.
Nothing renews automatically.

Questions people ask before they start

Is this medical advice?+

No. Together4Cancer® Beacon is an educational tool designed to help you prepare for conversations with your care team.

It does not diagnose cancer, recommend treatment, or replace your oncologist.

AI-generated information can be wrong, so clinically important information should be discussed with your treating team before you make medical decisions.

Does Beacon work across cancer types?+

Beacon is designed for people across cancer types, including common and rare cancers.

It works from the information you provide, such as your diagnosis, stage, pathology, biomarker results, proposed treatment, and where you are in care.

I do not have all my records yet. Can I still start?+

Yes.

Start with what you have.

As new reports and results arrive, add them. Beacon can carry that context forward as your situation changes.

Can’t I just use ChatGPT or another AI tool?+

General AI tools can answer cancer questions.

Beacon is built around a structured cancer-care process that carries your context forward across results, appointments, and decisions.

It also creates two specific outputs:

  • A Decision Readiness Record for you.
  • A Care Team Brief for your clinician.
Can I pay month to month?+

Beacon starts with a 90-Day Pass because the first months after a diagnosis or major change in care can include several appointments, results, and decisions.

After the first 90 days, you can choose Beacon Continuity for $20/month.

Nothing renews automatically.

Do oncologists mind when patients come this prepared?+

What we hear from users is that being organized can make it easier to use limited appointment time well.

Beacon’s documents are designed for a collaborative conversation, not to replace clinical judgment.

One user told us:

“I received frequent comments from my doctors about how prepared and well informed I was.”

What if Beacon is not the right fit for me?+

If you are not ready to purchase, you can try the free Decision Snapshot.

It is a separate, simple experience that gives you one question to consider bringing to your next appointment.

It is not the full Beacon experience.

Purchases are non-refundable because Beacon begins working with your information and creating personalized outputs from your first use.

If something is not working as expected, email us and we will review your Beacon experience with you.

Whose interests does Beacon serve?+

Beacon is built for patients and caregivers.

Its purpose is to help organize the information, questions, priorities, and decisions you bring into the process.

Before the next appointment

Walk in knowing what you came to discuss.

A result arrives.
The plan changes.
Another decision comes up.

Beacon keeps your context connected, so you can prepare for what is happening now without rebuilding everything from the beginning.
